What we value

Typical assets

  • Patient chairs, delivery units and operatory lights
  • Panoramic, CBCT and intraoral imaging
  • Sterilizers, compressors and vacuum systems
  • Lab equipment, mills and 3D printers
  • Front office furniture and computers

What matters

Issues we address in these reports

  • Financed imaging. High-cost imaging and milling units are often leased or financed. Ownership is confirmed before they are valued.
  • Software and records. Practice management software, licenses and patient records are not equipment. They are excluded from an equipment appraisal and belong in a business valuation.
  • Obsolescence. Imaging and digital equipment lose value quickly when a new generation reaches the market. The report addresses it item by item.
  • Data on resale. Computers and imaging units carry patient data. Liquidation values account for the cost of secure data removal.
